Regional Safety & Environmental Rep

The Regional Safety & Environmental Representative is responsible for accident prevention through intervention and education, inspecting company facilities and recommending and implementing corrective actions or additional precautions to ensure compliance to established regulations.
The Representative will influence incident rates of assigned facilities through auditing and investigating processes in the work environment.
In addition, the Representative will communicate regulatory & company expectations, implements programs, and procedures on a regional basis.

Essential Functions:
oModels, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT's Values Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and MissionoProvides on-site inspections in shop and field environments that includes auditing facilities, job sites, and implements hazard corrective actions; provides follow-up on hazard corrective actionsoReviews and reports on audit results, recommends safety regulation procedures, updates programs, and tracks hazard corrective actions to completionoRepresents the organization during visits with external and internal customers in a variety of meetings to include customer sites and supporting customer auditsoFacilitates on-site training to technicians and management; ensures follow-up on training updates/changes in workplace environmentoPerforms investigative, root cause analysis (RCA), and reports results to appropriate internal/external customersoRepresents the organization to external regulatory agencies (federal, state, and local) and provide supporting regulatory inspections to appropriate agencyoCompiles data and information for the analysis of hazard and safety incident trends and helps prepare recommendations for new or modified safety initiatives to reduce or prevent accidentsoWorks safely always and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standardsoPerforms other duties as assignedEducation and
Experience:
oHigh School Diploma or equivalent with additional specialized/technical training or some college courses required; Degree from an accredited college or university in related field preferredoMore than one year of experience with an Associate's Degree in Occupational Safety, 3 - 5 years of experience required; Experience in a technical or other appropriate occupation related field may substitute for the educationoTrack record the reducing site incident rates and communicate safety awarenessKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
oA working knowledge of 29 CFR Part 1910 and 1926 including program specific requirements to include, but not limited to respirator, confined space, electrical, fall protection, hazard communication, and lock out tag out is preferredoGeneral knowledge of 30 CFR parts 46/47/48/62 & 77oKnowledge of DOT/FMCSA Safety Regulations is preferredoKnowledge of training methods, procedures, and techniquesoKnowledge of accident prevention principles, practices, and proceduresoStrong computer skills including data management and presentation and experience in MS Office SuiteoVehicle operation and safety testing/monitoring equipment skillsoStrong investigative analysis skillsoData analysis and problem-solving skillsoStrong communication skills both verbally and in writing; ability to have a direct, influencing discussion keeping with the Holt Vision, Values, and MissionoAbility to multitask in an environment of changing prioritiesoAbility to present oral presentations and trainingoAbility to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions, and implement recommendations in support of goalsoAbility to establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, management, and internal/external customersoAbility to analyze the root cause during incident investigations (FMEA, Taproot, 5 Why) and professional report outTravel:

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
